Rino Golinelli was born in 1931 in Bomporto, a small municipality in the province of Modena, Italy. He is an internationally acclaimed watercolourist who graduated from the art institute A. Venturi and subsequently taught art to young students. 

He began exposing his work during his studies and continued in Europe and worldwide throughout his career.

In the last decades he built a privileged relationship with the Principality of Monaco and the south of France. He painted a series of watercolours within Prince Ranier's royal palace which are now part of the private collection of the reigning prince.
